Immigration As A Joke

So once again the Democrats have taken a serious problem for America and turned it into a joke. They had a hearing in DC today on “Protecting America’s Harvest.”  The president of the United Farm Workers and others where there for serious discussion of the issues.

But than you have the Democrats who decided to invite a leftwing B-list comedian from Comedy Central to speak on this issue. The less than funny comedian Stephen Colbert decided this was going to be a place where he practiced his comedy bit for not too funny ‘comedy’ show on Comedy Central.

“America’s farms are presently far too dependent on immigrant labor to pick our fruits and vegetables,” he said. “Now the obvious answer is for all of us to stop eating fruits and vegetables and if you look at the recent obesity statistics, you’ll see that many Americans have already started.”

“This is America,” Colbert continued. “I don’t want a tomato picked by a Mexican. I want it picked by an American, then sliced by a Guatemalan and served by a Venezuelan in a spa where a Chilean gives me a Brazilian.”

While one Democrat tried to keep this hearing serious, Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich.,

“I would like to recommend that now we got all this attention that you excuse yourself and you let us get on with the three witnesses and all the other members there,” he said. “I’m asking you to leave the committee room completely, and submit your statement.

But Mr Colbert refused to as he tries to make a name for himself no matter how stupid the guy comes across.

Democrats are stunned that they are losing in so many elections this year, but with stunts like this and the American people struggling why do they think they are being voted out of office. We have had the three stooges comedy show of Reid, Pelosi and Obama too long as it is and then to bring in someone who is not funny, has really no clue and think the American people are just going to laugh their way through the serious issues, just shows you how out of touch Democrats are with America.
