The Real World of Politics
The reality of the real world is settling in for either Barack Obama or the people who supported him the last year and half.
As he has been naming his cabinet he has struck a few sour notes with some of his appointments with the kos kiddies and the groupies who hang out at the DU and Huffington composte.
But now that he has selected Pastor Rick Warren to deliver the invocation at his inauguration, it has brought major objections from gay rights advocates, who strongly supported Obama during the election campaign and now are feeling like they are once again being opushed aside.
Here is what I find the amazing part of all of this. Barack is not a supporter of gay marriages, while he believes in equality for gays and lesbians and a supporter of a most of their agenda, that has never included gay marriage. Now they are acting like this is some kind of brand new revealtion from him!
Barack has shown he is a deeply religious person, but yet these type of groups expect him to act like them and become intolerante and hateful towards the people who do not agree with their agenda.
I think a lot of the far left are going to be a bit more suprised as he takes office and starts dealing with issues in the actual capacity of president. He is not going to end the war overnight they way they wanted. Gitmo will not be closing on Jan 21 and his move to restore our image iwth countries thaty hate us is not going to be done with a wave of a magicwand.
But they are not the only ones who are going to have their eyes opended by reality. Barack is also going to be in for a rude wake up call. During the election process the media treated him with kid gloves, he was never challeneged and could do no wrong, but that honeymoon is going to be ending not too long after Jan 20. and he has shown that he is not one that has patience for the media when they take him off script.
The first 100 days of his administartion is going to be interesting, and for conservatives entertaining, as we sit back and see this this all plays out for the left and their hope in the chosen one. The question is, will his far left extremist supportes from kos, the composte and the DU be there at the end or will he find out that when you try to appease everyone with election promises, that will come back and bite you in the ass.
