Conservatism From The Midwest

Now He Wants Credit

You have to love those whack Dems. 41 of them recently spent a little time drafting a letter against Rush Limbaugh because of a comment he said about a phony soldier. So Harry Reid and a group of Democrats who had some spare time sent a letter to his boss.

Rush took the letter and put it up on E-Bay  to raise money for the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation Inc. He said he would match whatever was raised. Not sure if he was expecting to part with $2,100,000 as that was the winning bid. So because Harry Reid was looking to shut down Rush Limbaugh $4,200,000 was raised for this group.

Now the letter was weird to start with,  but once the success of the  event was evident, ol’ Harry could not help take credit for the event. He actually stood in Senate and said something along the line of  “we never expected it to raise this much money!” WE? From what I understand you had nothing to do with the fund raiser, so why are you trying to take credit?

SO now the question is, if it was a joint effort in Harrys part and Rush, how much has Harry donated and how much the other 40 are going to give? Don’t hold your breath that they will put in one single penny.

They Are Coming Out From Under Thier Rocks

David Brock from the far left “watchdog” group MEDIA MATTERS says “it’s time to clean up the rest of talk radio”

This is the group were the original push behind the Don Imus episode started and now he has said next in his groups crosshairs are, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, Bill O’Reilly, Glenn Beck, Neal Boortz, John Gibson and Michael Smerconish.

There were progressive liberals all week who were denying this is what the whole idea was about from the beginning, but, it is clear that the real targets is conservative talk radio. It has nothing to do with the three words Imus said, it is about silencing voices that these lunatics dislike.

Brock is also pushing the “Renew the Fairness Doctrine” campaign to have the Federal Communications Commission monitor and regulate talk radio. His group is “dedicated to correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media.”

It is sad that the liberal progressive are such a vindictive and hateful group. They are people who are afraid of other voices and opinions. What Liberal progressives have discovered recently is that they are a voice that America does not care to listen to, prime example, the failed Air America network, and because they are unable to get their voices heard they will simply try to silence the people who America wants to hear.

Media Matters, was founded with backing from Center for American Progress, funded by billionaire George Soros, a major financial backer of the Democrat Party and allied groups such as MoveOn.org.

No Shame

“The first news most Americans heard this morning was the announcement that Sen. Ted Kennedy had passed away after his 15-month battle with brain cancer,” conservative Gary Bauer wrote this week. “The second thing most Americans heard was a shameless attempt by Big Media 'talking heads' and liberal politicians to exploit his death by suggesting that America should honor the senator by stopping the debate and passing ‘health care reform

Destruction

If Al Qaeda wants to demolish the America we know and love, they'd better hurry because Obama's beating them to it.

"One day, God's gonna stand before you, and he's gonna judge you and the rest of your damn cronies up on the Hill -- and then you will get your just desserts." - From Sen. Arlen Specter town hall meeting

Stimulus

"Not only has the stimulus not worked and the economy not been rescued, the President continues to promote policies that will create more unemployment in America. The national energy tax that went through this House last month will cause millions of Americans to lose their jobs over the next 10 years, at 2.5 million per year. And we're debating the health care plan, the government takeover of health care, which according to the Presidents council of economic advisors model will cost five million more Americans their jobs."
John Boehner

Idiot

I just don’t understand how anyone would want to be a Republican. I just can’t figure it. I don’t understand. If you’re poor, if you’re any kind of minority - gay, black, Latino, anything. If you’re not a rich - I don’t know. If you’re not a rich born-again-Christian, I don’t get it.

Be Proud

“I wish that some in the media would keep things like that in perspective, what is really important in our country. And what is important is our freedoms, America’s security, our liberty. Let us continue to love our country, be proud of our country, never apologize for our country.”
- Sarah Palin

Apologize?

We never need to fear that though we're not a perfect nation, that we must apologize for being proud of ourselves.

Common Sense

Of course, Obama attended a black supremacist church for twenty years, and referred to his grandmother as “a typical white woman,” and wrote a book with the word “race” in the title – which no politically ambitious white writer could ever get away with. But that’s not “racist” or anything. -Kathy Shaidle
