Conservatism From The Midwest

More Than The Second Amendment

The recent ruling by the Supreme Court was more than just a statement on gun owner rights, but also a statement that a few progressives are not going to be allowed to destroy America.

Of all of the blunders of GW administration the past eight years, including refusing to protect the borders of this country, the misjudgment of the war in Iraq, his appointment of Supreme Court justices who put the interest of America first, instead of ideology, is something that all of America can be proud of. The Second Amendment has been under attack for a long time by people who use the Constitution as if it was written for just a select few, instead of all citizens.

With Mr McCain soon to become our next president, and a couple of the far left judges soon to retire, hopefully real soon, the court will become a strong conservative court that will defend America and her people from the tyrants of the extreme left, whose goal is to bring America to her kness in a godless secular society.

America Needs To Wake Up

People really need to get pass the obsession with Obama and see what he really is, a typical politician, a liar.

In his current ad on tv he says that he “extended healthcare for wounded troops that had been neglected” and cited Public Law 110-181 as proof of this.

As it has been noted on a number of blogs, Obama didn’t show up to vote. Actually 9 senators voted the bill down or did not show up to vote. The bill passed the senate 91 to 3.

People better wake up soon as to what this man really is or the country is sunk.

UPDATE: I have had a couple of “progressive” bloggers go after me accusing me of plagiarism. This is what conservatives can expect over the next few months, progressives will attack the messenger when the message points out the the type of candidate Obama actually is and how dangerous he will be for America.

This Is Change?

Obama The man of change had a little problem dealing with change in Detroit recently. Apparently two Muslim women at Obama’s rally in Detroit were barred from sitting behind the podium by campaign volunteers seeking to prevent the women’s headscarves from appearing in photographs or on television with the candidate.

While Barack did apologize to the women it is apparent that his campaign is overly sensitive on his image. Why? He is a man of change is he not? So should they not then be thrilled by the oppurtunity to show his diverstsity?

His campaign has worked very hard to try and disassociate Barack from the Muslim world. But to be so blantly obvivous does nothing but show he is part of the same political process as all the other candidates. His idea of change is the hot air we feel every election year, lot of talk and free flowing buzzwords, which once elected will ring with the hollowness that they are spoken today.

His lack of political experience may just be enough that he his naive enough to believe he can bring change to a process that has become rooted with political insiders and political action groups. Money and power drives what happens in Washington, and there is nothing this man can so or do that will change how things are done in this country.

Many people have taken notice of this and are starting to understand that the man of change is not the change they are looking for in America.

Which Way Is The Wind Blowing Today

In his speech Wednesday before the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee, Obama tried to sound a bit like the more hawkish.

He said the military option is “on the table” for dealing with Iran’s nuclear program, and in stark contrast to earlier statements, he said he would meet with Iranian leaders “if and only if it can advance the interest of the United States.”

Obama’s tone was strikingly different from it has been in the past.

During a debate last summer, he said he would be willing to meet with Iranian leaders and other American adversaries “without preconditions” during the first year of his presidency. Today, he made it clear that we should not expect a President Obama to be sitting down with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad any time soon.

OH PLEASE! Does he really think the American people are going to fall for his BS! He is an appeaser, he has been an appeaser since day one and he just does not change that stand overnight, Obama is going to do what all democrats do best. He will say whatever he thinks the people want to hear for whatever event he is attending. Between now and November we will hear him change policy over and over again and sadly due to his lack of experience, we will never now where he stands on most issues until it’s too late.

One More Broken Promise

Oct 27 2007 - “I will promise you this, that if we have not gotten our troops out by the time I am president, it is the first thing I will do. I will get our troops home. We will bring an end to this war. You can take that to the bank. …” Barack Obama

No Shame

“The first news most Americans heard this morning was the announcement that Sen. Ted Kennedy had passed away after his 15-month battle with brain cancer,” conservative Gary Bauer wrote this week. “The second thing most Americans heard was a shameless attempt by Big Media 'talking heads' and liberal politicians to exploit his death by suggesting that America should honor the senator by stopping the debate and passing ‘health care reform

If Al Qaeda wants to demolish the America we know and love, they'd better hurry because Obama's beating them to it.

You Better Listen Democrats

"One day, God's gonna stand before you, and he's gonna judge you and the rest of your damn cronies up on the Hill -- and then you will get your just desserts." - From Sen. Arlen Specter town hall meeting

Stimulus

"Not only has the stimulus not worked and the economy not been rescued, the President continues to promote policies that will create more unemployment in America. The national energy tax that went through this House last month will cause millions of Americans to lose their jobs over the next 10 years, at 2.5 million per year. And we're debating the health care plan, the government takeover of health care, which according to the Presidents council of economic advisors model will cost five million more Americans their jobs."
John Boehner

Idiot

I just don’t understand how anyone would want to be a Republican. I just can’t figure it. I don’t understand. If you’re poor, if you’re any kind of minority - gay, black, Latino, anything. If you’re not a rich - I don’t know. If you’re not a rich born-again-Christian, I don’t get it.

Be Proud

“I wish that some in the media would keep things like that in perspective, what is really important in our country. And what is important is our freedoms, America’s security, our liberty. Let us continue to love our country, be proud of our country, never apologize for our country.”
- Sarah Palin

Apologize?

We never need to fear that though we're not a perfect nation, that we must apologize for being proud of ourselves.

Common Sense

Of course, Obama attended a black supremacist church for twenty years, and referred to his grandmother as “a typical white woman,” and wrote a book with the word “race” in the title – which no politically ambitious white writer could ever get away with. But that’s not “racist” or anything. -Kathy Shaidle
