A few things in the news caught my eye today.
One was the death of Richard Jewell, a real hero at the Atlanta Olympics. He discovered a suspicious knapsack that contained a pipe bomb and he helped evacuate people from the park, saving many more lives. He ended up getting accused by CNN and others that he was responsible, tuned out he was innocent and he ended up suing CNN and other outlets because of their rush to slander this poor guy. What happened to him was the out of control media in this country who think they must be part of the story instead of just reporting the news. The sad part it has become worse with cable news.
Then we have Larry Craig, if what this guy did is true, it’s disturbing. But what is even more disturbing, is that this seems to be an acceptable practice in the gay community. People are outraged at Craig, but where is the outrage of the actions of those who participate in such horrendous actions, putting innocent people at risk to be harassed and possible assaulted?
Finally we have John Edwards, this guy will have a career as a standup comic if he ever decides to get out of politics. Today John was before a group from the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers in Florida, and he said that if he was president he would ask Americans to give up their SUV’s to save the planet. What really makes this newsworthy it was reported when he left the event, he was taken away in a SUV! Hey John don’t you think it would be good to lead with actions instead of hollow words on the campaign trail
I do have a suggestion for you, you could help the planet by stopping to campaign! You have NO CHANCE of ever being president. Flying around in private jets, riding in SUVs to events is just causing more damage to the global climate. Show us the light John, lead by example!

This women just does not get it, she is a criminal, but yet she feels she is above the laws of the country she disrespects.
She has asked the Mexico’s president to appoint her “peace and justice” ambassador so she can return to the United States.
Elvira Arellano, who abandoned her U.S.-born, 8-year-old son, when she was sent back to Mexico on Aug. 19, now wants to be a diplomat?
“What I’m asking for is a diplomatic visa so that I can be an ambassador for peace and justice because I’m not a terrorist and the United States can’t continue treating illegal immigrants as terrorists.”
What she does not understand we are not treating her as a terrorist we are treating her as someone who broke the laws of OUR country. So instead of her acting like she is a victim she needs to take the responsibility that she was illegal, she came to this country illegally and she abandoned her son her in the states.
Instead of pointing fingers at America take a look at yourself and also the failures of your own country to provide for its people.

You just have to love the candidates for the Democrat party this time around, they sure are entertaining. This past week we had two great laughable moments. One from the ever incompetent John Edwards and the other from Chris Dodd who has no chance of ever becoming President.
Dodd who is all but ignored by the media, went on the Bill O’Reilly show this past week to defend the dailykos,
a popular hate site of the progressive liberal. It was obvious that someone in his campaign thought it was a good idea and all it did was make Dodd look more foolish then he normally does. It was obvious that he has never really watched O’Reilly’s show he was using information that was given to him and he also never looked at Daily kos. The man was laughable and looked like a beaten fool by the time the interview was done.
But once again the foot in mouth award goes to Mr Edwards, this time he was whining and crying calling on Democrat candidates to “refuse or refund contributions from FNC parent News Corp. to protest its purchase of The Wall Street Journal.”
I wonder if that will include the $500,000 advance — and $300,000 in expenses — for his 2006 book “Home: The Blueprints of Our Lives,” that News Corp.’s “publishing unit, Harper Collins, paid Edwards
Does this guy ever think before he engages what little brain matter he actually has?
